I love Freebirds. I had been to the one in Norman, but this last time was the first time in the old Moe's space. It was a little hectic, but with a little smoothing out of the process at this location, it'll be fine. You CAN get a burrito the size of a log if you want to, but I usually stick with a Monster sized burrito. They make it in front of you and you get to add whatever you want. They give you about 50 different choices. I like that they offer grilled jalapenos, as they are more flavorful. The only thing I don't like is some of the little nickel and dime stuff they do, like charging for salsa when other similar places don't. I have to limit myself, or I'd go there all the time. BTW, I'm dying to try out ordering online for lunch and pick it up.

I really like Freebirds. I actually go pretty frequently, now that I think about it. Kids eat free on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Sundays after 3 pm. My kids like going there because they like the decor, which they say is "so cool." They mainly eat quesadillas and rice, which is hard to mess up. It can get expensive pretty quickly with drinks and chips and extra guacamole, but with the free kids meals, redeemed points on my rewards card, and some planning, I've fed family of four there for just over $11. The burritos are pretty good, although a couple of times I've had them put things on that I later thought tasted weird together. There are a lot of options for veg*ans, which is nice. The beans and rice are all animal product free, unlike Chipotle (which has only one type of beans without animal products). My partner says that the queso alternates between being very spicy and very mild, which is kind of disconcerting. The cookies are DELICIOUS if you can get them relatively quickly after they've been baked; if not, they're just normal cookies. I think the other members of my family would fight to the death over the last Freebirds pot brownie, but I'm not really a fan. I'm super picky about my desserts, though, and I don't really like brownies in the first place. The service ranges from amazing to adequate. There are definitely people who are more helpful than others, but for the most part we have had positive experiences with the employees.

I always enjoyed Moe's so I was sad when I stopped there one day and saw it was closed with a Freebirds coming soon. Took awhile to get back up there but when we did I got a chicken burrito meal. There's way too much salt on the chips and the meat and guacamole tasted rather salty as well. My wife didn't finish her ground beef nachos because of the taste too. I honestly think Chipotle is better and that had been the worst burrito joint I had been to up to this point. Not disappointed it took so long to try it and I won't be back.

I love that they offer variety ranging from meat lovers to vegan, I especially love the spinach tortillas. The meat is all well cooked and I found everything to be delightful. The staff were helpful and nice, and the decor was pretty freaking cool. Very modern art esque with personal touches from customers everywhere, as they're allowed to place their tin foil art on the walls. Overall a great experience! -Emma Fuckin Good Bitches -Molly

I made a mistake of going to other burrito places before finally settling on Freebirds. I suppose this gave me the opportunity to see what the world offered before finally finding true love. It's kind of like dating around until you find that special someone you're going to marry. Freebirds has found a place in my heart and I don't think it's going anywhere. Burritos are probably one of my favorite foods on the face of the planet and its mostly because you can do so much with them. Vegetables, meat, cheese, etc. The choices are numerous! Finally there is a restaurant that gives you the variety to make your dream burrito. I'd almost venture to say there's too much choice, but that's just silly of me! You get to pick from multiple different sizes and four different kinds of tortillas to wrap your creation in. Veggies are all the normal things you would expect to find on a burrito, even roasted limes which threw me for a loop. Seven kinds of salsa and three kinds of dressing. Did I mention you can add as many toppings as you want for free? Variety is definitely the spice of life at Freebirds. There are closer burrito places with some decent food, but I'll gladly make the extra long drive to get Freebirds instead.

It was good but not great. The counter guy was nice & helpful and the store was clean. Personally I prefer Qdoba's food and they are cheaper, but there's not one in the area. This is a good alternative.

I had a friend tell me about this place today. I never knew of its existence! So I decided to try it out. It was fantastic. The girl who made my burrito was not joking when she said that was a really good brownie and convinced me to get it. It was so delicious!! My burrito was pretty bomb too. The downside is it cost me $14 for a chicken burrito, brownie and a 20oz fountain drink. But still, 5 stars. I can say I would prefer it over chipotle.

So... Yeah, this place is a winner. I had ever been to any Freebirds location before and was in the area from out of town in need of food. I'm a huge fan the type of food they offer already, albeit I am picky. Personally I'm a chipotle person and Qdoba is meh to me. Moving on.... Walked in and liked the atmosphere already. And service was incredible. Fast, almost graceful, friendly, and welcoming. I liked they're options (ESPECIALLY the way it tasted), loved the music they played and liked how they had their tip jar set up. (Go take a peek, I saw the throwback bet). Could be called gimmicky, but, just enough of that and actual awesomeness to make it a neat little joint. If this is Freebirds' norm and not just this one location, chipotle is gonna be losing thousands from me yearly!

The very first thing I recognized when I first went to Freebirds was the amazing service. I've had food from here a couple of times, but I've only gone to the location once (so far). At the time of my visit, the guys working the counter were energetic and friendly. I was a little sick and exhausted at the time, but the person helping me was patient as I made my selection. He was talkative and answered whatever dumb questions I had. The price for food is moderately placed between drive-thru and sit down restaurant prices. Like similar establishments, there is a large selection of things to stuff in your burrito, fill your taco, and dump on your nachos. The ingredients (including the meats) have plenty of flavor to make whatever you slap together taste to your liking. The website is kind of clumsy and not entirely fluid. Meaning, the list of items you see is not the entire list. If you want to look at what all you can put together, there's an option to order online and that lists everything.

I guess I was hoping this place would be better. I was huge fan of the previous place that was at this location. I tried this place hoping it was similar. It was similar but just not as good. Had a steak burrito which was huge and tasted decent. The way they have the salsa, queso and chips to be orederd just leaves me longing for the good ole days when this place was another place.....memories....

Called in my order, but they didn't start on it until I walked in about 20 minutes later. Now an additional 20 minutes later still no food. Hope the food is worth the wait. I'm in my lunch break for crying out loud!! They did offer a drink while waiting so I gave 2 stars instead of 1.

Love their habanero sauce. They don't always have it in. That's the only reason for 4 stars.

Slow service despite customers being outnumbered by employees. Freebirds has a cool, indie/rock atmosphere. I guess that gives the staff the freedom to have an appearance that resembles a hip lack of hygiene or grooming standards. The food is distinctly bland and sure to only offend those looking for flavor in their meal. The lemons and limes offered at the not-so-hot sauce station were old, dry, and a few even with black peels. With all of these things you might think you'd at least get a good deal for your sub-par dining experience, but with prices matching and exceeding Qdoba, Chipotle, et al., the only thing to do with Freebirds World Burritos is to avoid it.

Watch out Chipotle, MOE'S, Cabana Grille, et al: Freebirds is awesome. Fresh, delicious, spicy (if you want it that way), and quick. It's got that funky cool atmosphere thing going on, tattooed employees, and all like that. I can't wait to visit again for another veggie burrito bowl...

Freebirds gets a lot of hype. They do a great job with their company image and they are good at marketing. Their food, however, is mediocre at best. There is not a single thing on their menu I like and the few times I've tried freebirds I've had a terrible experience with their food. Their staff was friendly and the restaurant is okay inside, but the food is just subpar. Everything tastes old and their meats are not tasty at all. I can't imagine why one would dine here. I've made the mistake a few times, but I've learned my lesson and I will not be going back.

Horrible experience will not return. Some of the workers are very rude, prices change everytime I go in there. Some people give a decent amount of cHicken some barely do same with chips. And they changed the sour cream where they whip it and it is disgusTing and left a horrible taste in my mouth

Hmmm... what to say, what to say. it's a burrito joint! Freebirds reminds me of Chipolte, where the business of assembling your burrito is similar to the assembly of a sub sandwich at Subway. You walk down the line and tell the worker what to put on it. Freebirds has more options than Chipolte, but it's the same concept. I chose to have a chicken burrito with some other stuff on it. The flavors didn't blend. That very easily could be my tastebuds. My sister and mom really liked their burritos, but said they tasted like a Chipolte burrito. My son really liked it... but beans and cheese are kinda hard to mess up in my book. Maybe not his, but mine. I did like their chips and guac. The customer service however, was fantastic. They were very welcoming and informative.

This place is the best! Hands down! Amazing service they are always taking good care of me and making sure they got my bacon. They always remember me and are super friendly. Can't say enough good things about the food either. Way better than those other two. But the service is what keeps me really coming back.

I really have no reason to not like it. The food was fine but I don't think it was necessarily out of this world like most others seem to claim. It would be better with a salsa bar as an option instead of having to pay for a small side. The prices were a bit steep. I mean, at the end of the day it is just a burrito. The service was good, the place was clean and foil creations are fun to look at. I would go there again. I have no complaints but I don't think it was fan-friggin-tastic either. It was a pricey burrito.

Visited this location several times when it was Moe's. Must say, I was not interested in going, but the hubby wanted to try it. I was very pleasantly surprised! Select different tortillas, ie spinach, regular, etc. and I went for the "Hybird" size, which is the smallest available. Great selection of add ins. Server was very conscientious about the quantity I wanted on the burrito, which was nice. Sometimes if you ask for rice, you get a ton of it! Carnitas was great. Could not finish the burrito. I was tempted for a dollar more to get the next size, but am glad I didn't! You'll need napkins and maybe a fork to get through the meal! Chips and queso was pretty good as well. Only down side was very little ice--machine couldn't keep up, but as soon as it was noticed, someone was right there to fill it up until it could make more, so no foul! I would go again, maybe am a burrito lover reborn.

Fun little restaurant. Used to be a Moe's, but the food and service at Freebirds is 10x better.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
